How Can I Rent a Moving Truck From Satellite Self Storage?
We offer box truck rentals for various situations, whether it’s moving to a new house or transferring furniture from your home to a storage unit. Our 14-foot box truck is available to existing customers from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
Box Truck Rental Prices
New customers can receive truck services for free on the first move-in day to the storage unit. Any use of a truck after the first day but within the first 30 days of signing the contract will cost $15 for the day and 70 cents per mile.
If you’ve already used one of our trucks before or it’s been over 30 days since you signed your contract, a truck will cost $45 per day and 70 cents per mile. The price includes a $30 truck fee with an additional $15 insurance fee.
Please note that we require a $75 credit card authorization before every truck rental. There is also an additional surcharge of $5 for every 10 miles over 50 miles you drive. We cannot accept checks for truck payments.

What do I need to rent a truck?
Since you get free truck rental with your storage unit on the first move-in day, you only need a valid driver’s license and a credit or debit card to cover insurance and mileage costs. Rentals are on a first-come, first-served basis, so it’s a good idea to book the truck as soon as you’ve confirmed the move date.
Can someone else drive the truck?
If you want to have an additional driver for your truck, you need to bring them with you when you pick up the truck. They will need to present a valid driver’s license and sign the additional driver section of the rental agreement.
Is there anything I’m not allowed to transport?
The 14-foot box truck is large enough to transport most household belongings, but the restrictions are the same as for a storage unit. You may not transport flammable or explosive materials, and hazardous waste is prohibited as well. In addition to these items, you should avoid perishable foods and live animals.
How long can I keep the truck?
The truck is only available for use during office hours. You can collect it as soon as the office opens, and you need to return it by an hour before the office closes. So, on weekdays, you can collect it at 8 a.m. and need to return it by 4 p.m., on Saturdays, you can collect it at 9 a.m. and need to return it by 3 p.m.
Can I rent the truck again?
Absolutely! Our truck is available as often as you need it. Your first rental includes a waived daily truck fee, so you’ll only pay $15 for insurance and $0.70 per mile. Subsequent rentals are $45 per day ($30 truck fee plus $15 insurance) plus mileage.
